Mitchell Denburg Collection has been contributing to New Roots Foundation—dedicated to supporting art, education and the environment in Guatemala—for over 25 years.

Through these efforts, close to one million trees have been planted, 25 communities across the country have benefited from ongoing sustainable socioeconomic initiatives, and the first and only contemporary art space and residency program in the country, La Nueva Fábrica, was established and has been operating since 2013, expanding access to art and arts education through a robust exhibition and community outreach program, and offering fully-funded residencies to artists from Guatemala and around the world.
